Usg Maps. The USGS Topo base map service from The National Map is a combination of contours, shaded relief, woodland and urban tint, along with vector layers, such as geographic names, governmental unit boundaries, hydrography, structures, and transportation, to provide a composite topographic base map. Included in The National Map are the latest elevation data from the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP), surface water data from the National Hydrography Datasets (NHD), and place name data from the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS).
